A Penrose Set
This is a rhombus tiling system that uses constraint keys to ensure aperiodicity, which means it is essentially an oscillating system that will eventually repeat itself.
It has a fivefold symmetry base on 36 degree increments which produces a self similar pattern that will continue to occur at larger and larger scales.
On the left of the image are the shapes available to construct this pattern, the constraint keys only allow the pattern to be constructed in a certain way. On the right of the image is the begining of the pattern.
